2009 - Lunacy

Lunacy is the 2009 FIRST Robotics Competition game. The field is called the "crater" and is covered in a slick coating that provides a unique surface and simulates driving under 1/6 gravity. The game is played with three game pieces that are three differently colored balls, called "moon rocks", "empty cells", and "super cells". A "trailer" is attached to each robot that is a container, and alliances try to get as many moon rocks into the opposing alliance's trailers. Human players try to score moon rocks into passing trailers. During the last 20 seconds, alliances try to score super cells into the opposing alliance's trailers, and receive bonus points for doing so.
