2008 - Overdrive
Overdrive is the 2008 FIRST Robotics Competition game. The game is played on a field with an overpass. A 6 ft tall lane divider runs down the mid-line of the track. The game pieces are 40 in inflatable balls known as "track balls" the objective is for the alliance to move their robots and balls around the track as many times as possible. The match starts with a "hybrid mode", where robots are autonomously controlled. Each time a robot crosses their finish line, they score points. Robots score points for taking track balls around the track - 2 points for going under the overpass, and 8 points for going over it.
